ABOUT THE PROJECT

UniProDaPI: Universal Proven Data & Process Interchange

The project will deliver a universal data interchange scheme that leverages publicly open sourced keeexed JSON data schemas acting as verifiable semantic descriptions within a unique sidechain infrastructure made possible by KeeeX's FR/US/UE CNRS patents. The solution provides a standardless, flexible, scalable and sharded probative blockchain architecture. The global aim is to produce a universal platform for arbitrary parties to connect to and read or write data proofs according to verifiable specifications and monetize their data within trustless digital processes.

The solution addresses the key issues of Data and Identity Sovereignty and privacy, protection against CloudAct, GDPR or eIDAS compliance. It separates the probative and user metadata made public at sidechain level from the data itself, linked from the chain, made accessible only to authorized parties, and kept on producer's premises or securely accessed from distributed object storage. Sidechain data itself is clustered and sharded so that separate businesses use separate resources. It is distributed and verified by observers.

The proposed scheme allows for perfect file level auditability of the entire audit trail, from the blockchain to a (zipped) collection of all registry writes relative to some identifier, making it possible for lawyers to settle disputes.

As a by-product of the project, KeeeX will deliver a generic proxy framework to KeeeX Stories allowing for simple read/write integration in participant's code, plus a universal public explorer that will enable the grand public to track of any reference or ID they are aware of, from a parcel, to a container, a beef, a medication pill, a watch.

The research will also help understand which Blockchain pairing solution is best to address at the same time unlimited scalability, operational stability, marketability, as well as carbon emissions.

Chains

Motivation for the project:

We provide a universal and trusted foundation that separates the probative and user metadata made public at sidechain level from the data itself, linked from the chain, made accessible only to authorized parties, and kept on producer’s premises or securely accessed from distributed object storage.

Generic use case description:

The project will enable the grand public to track of any reference or ID they are aware of, from a parcel, to a container, a beef, a medication pill, a watch, a document…

Essential functionalities:

- Develop Blockchain-based knowledge management solutions that address the challenge of secure and transparent knowledge management as well as service interoperability on the Internet.
- Preserve the integrity and reliability of information and content, with known marketable scalable applications.

How these functionalities can be integrated within the software ecosystem:

The unforgeable and easily verifiable registries of proofs of data, events and documents that produce the backbone of multi actor interaction is accessible through simple business APIs made generic thanks to verifiable data schemas acting as semantic descriptions.

Gap being addressed:

Unlike most approaches to the interoperability and digitization acceptance approaches, we do not provide a web service / web portal level that would act as a bridge for data shared by participants, but act at fundamentally newer level by providing access to unforgeable sequences of proofs.

Expected benefits achieved with the novel technology building blocks:

The solution will enable connections from unlimited business actors, and their access to verifiable process data according to relations with partners and the creation of new business models for data and for new services that where not possible before (for instance by combining data from previously isolated sources).

Potential demonstration scenario:

We could for example demonstrate within a multi-actors supply-chain process the possibility for an entity or a person to search information about a parcel or a product. Public information will be available for free on our explorer, as well as the link and terms & conditions to get more information or the original data/document.
